IFC Viewer SDK License Terms (v2026-11)
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the Flinker IFC Viewer SDK (“SDK”) under the Community and Pro plans. Use under the Enterprise plan is governed by a separate written agreement. The Flinker GmbH Terms & Conditions apply in addition. Where they conflict, these terms prevail for the SDK.
2. Definitions
- Application: A web application that the Licensee operates itself, for example a SaaS product, portal or intranet.
- Licensee: The company that operates the Application, also when an agency builds it.
- Request: One loaded viewer session. The number of files opened in the session does not matter. Reloading the page counts as a new Request. Requests from local development on localhost are not counted.
3. Permitted use
The Community and Pro plans permit only the following:
- Use of the SDK via the Flinker CDN, unmodified.
- Use inside one Application that the Licensee operates itself. Each further Application needs its own plan.
- Use on domains and subdomains that the Licensee controls, including subdomains for the Licensee’s customers.
- Use by the Licensee’s users and customers inside that Application.
- Flinker branding remains visible and unchanged.
- Unlimited local development on localhost.
Commercial use within these limits is included. The Licensee’s own application code is not subject to any copyleft obligation.
4. Uses that require an Enterprise agreement
Any use not listed in Section 3 requires an Enterprise agreement, in particular:
- Use on customer-owned domains or customer infrastructure.
- Self-hosting, copying or redistributing SDK files, on-premise or private cloud deployment.
- White-label use, or removing or changing Flinker branding.
- Providing the SDK or the viewer to other software vendors or their products, including sublicensing, reselling or offering it as a service to third parties.
- Use in applications that run inside a customer’s Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint or Teams apps, Office add-ins, and offers on Microsoft AppSource or Microsoft Marketplace.
- Building or offering an SDK, viewer component, embedding service or developer platform based on the SDK.
The Licensee shall not circumvent request counting or licensing mechanisms.
5. Request limits
The request limit of each plan is shown on the pricing page. Requests from all domains of an Application count together. There is no overage billing. If usage exceeds the plan limit for two consecutive months, or exceeds three times the limit in a single month, Flinker will contact the Licensee to move to the appropriate plan. The viewer keeps working in the meantime. Flinker may count Requests per domain to verify plan limits.
6. Data
The SDK parses and renders IFC files inside the user’s browser. Project files are not transferred to Flinker servers by the SDK. Optional online functions, such as maps or license checks, make their own network requests.
7. Fees and changes
The Community plan is free. Pro fees are shown on the pricing page and are billed in advance. All prices exclude VAT. Flinker may change these terms, plan limits or fees for future billing periods with at least 30 days’ notice. The current version is published on this page.
8. Term and termination
The Licensee may stop using the SDK at any time. A Pro subscription can be cancelled with effect from the end of the current billing period. Flinker may suspend use in case of a material breach of these terms.
9. Ownership, liability and governing law
Flinker GmbH retains all rights in the SDK. Liability, governing law and venue are governed by the Flinker GmbH Terms & Conditions.
